As the rising sun casts its red-orange glow over all another glorious day unfolds. Jo strolls leisurely along with her tiny poodle companion. They stop here and there while Ralph sniffs the warm moist air lightly scented with the smell of gardenias. A door opens, a car motor starts, a youngster calls out ...the neighborhood awakens.
What a great place to be..Florida..with its sunny , bright days , its wonderful beaches and activity abounds.
Jo and her family had vacationed all over the state, taking brief breaks now and then, over the years and happened upon West Central Florida , Pinellas County . With their busy lives in New England tending a family, pets, a home with 25 acres, a ski business and a real estate business. The breaks became more and more welcomed. In 1983 they became snow birds and found the down-to-earth people, the beach, the trail, fine dining, close proximity to Tampa International Airport all too inviting to give up.
In 1989 they made the BIG move and setltled here permanently to begin a new and what they called "softer" existence.
